The Vitality Coaching Plan takes a holistic approach to coaching because all areas of your life affect your wellness.

To maximize your outcomes, we will assess 16 areas of life that fit within the following key aspects of your wellbeing:

One on One Coaching Packages:

 

1. Foundation Package $1997 (CAD) - includes 12 sessions of 60 minutes each, over 3 to 6 months.

12 full private sessions focused on your personal journey towards a healthier life. No more crash diets or punishing bootcamps; this is about lifestyle change for the long term.

We will build your wellness foundation with a wellness plan that maps out the changes you want in a way that works for your life. Some common areas you may want to improve include: nutrition, physical activity, stress, sleep, weight management, mindset, or others.

Health & Wellness Coaching takes a holistic approach to increasing vitality - exploring mind, body, emotional and spiritual aspects of your life.

Sessions are focused on your agenda and desired outcomes, while incorporating any recommendations from your healthcare team.

We will determine specific and easy weekly steps for you to create new habits and work through any barriers that arise.

Lifestyle improvements are attained and maintained over the long term with the help of accountability, support, motivation, and strategizing through challenges.

*Weekly sessions are recommended for best results, especially to get started, but you may set up your session frequency however suits you best.

2. Mastery Package $897 (CAD) - includes 12 sessions of 30 minutes each over 3 to 6 months. 

This package of shorter private sessions is only available after completing the Foundational Wellness Coaching Package.

The Mastery Program is where the transformation really settles in, habits are established, and your new lifestyle becomes easy.

Once your foundation is in place, you may feel you need less time to work through bigger issues, while still keeping the accountability, motivation and support in place to ensure you continue to make progress over the long term.

Sessions may also address lingering roadblocks, deeper energy and emotional work, fine-tuning your mindset, and strategies for specific situations.

*You may choose weekly or biweekly sessions. You may book two sessions back to back if you'd like a longer session. Repeat this package for ongoing support as long as you need it.

    • Maximum of 1 scheduled session per week, via Zoom or phone.
    • Unlimited, brief phone/email/text support between sessions as necessary to keep moving forward.
    • Energy work during scheduled sessions, if desired, to overcome blocks and limiting beliefs.
    • Tools and techniques for you to use between sessions for managing your emotions and resistance.
    • Assessments and exercises to track your progress and help you gain insights about yourself.
    • Weekly goals as defined by you and I together, in order to keep progressing.
    • Accountability check-ins.

This short package of private sessions is very similar to the first 4 sessions of the Foundation Plan.

During these 4 sessions we will:

    • Get clear on who and where you are right now
    • Envision your ideal (yet realistic) life
    • Define your inspiring WHY
    • Create a doable plan

The Jumpstart Package Includes:

    • Maximum of 1 scheduled session per week, via Zoom or phone.
    • Unlimited, brief phone/email/text support between sessions as necessary to keep moving forward.
    • Assessments and exercises to track your progress and help you gain insights about yourself.
    • Honest feedback and an objective perspective to help you see through your own "stories" that limit you.

4. VIP Day $1497 (CAD) - includes 1 full day and 2 followup sessions of 30 minutes each. 

This package includes all of the content of the Jumpstart and MUCH MORE, in just one day. This is for people who love to dive in deep and don't want to waste any time.

We help you build your own “Owner’s Manual,” and develop the skills necessary to make better decisions and get results.

What's the Difference Between Life Coaching and Therapy?

A common misconception is that coaching is the same as therapy, when in fact they are quite different. Therapy is intended to help people recover from emotional or other psychological disorders such as depression or anxiety. Coaching, on the other hand, is intended to help normal, healthy individuals achieve personal goals such as increased happiness, weight loss, improved work-life balance. etc.

What Credentials do Life Coaches Require?

The short answer: none.

That’s right. Anybody who wants to call themselves a life coach can go ahead and do so, right now.  So buyer beware. But there is good news.

Whether or not life coaches should require credentialing is a long standing debate in the coaching industry. Many coaches insist that in order for the profession of coaching to become recognized, respected, and widely adopted, credentialing is necessary. The reality is that the industry faces some challenges before it can do so. I could go into greater detail to discuss what those things are but that’s not the point of this article. Instead, I would like to explain what coaching credentialing bodies exist and ask a potential coaching client, what you should look for when hiring a coach.


What life coaching credentials exist?

When you investigate the education and training of coaches, it can be confusing because there are so many coaching credentials. The ones that count the most are credentials issued by the International Coach Federation (ICF).

From my best estimation, the coaching industry has somewhere between 200 and 500 independent, for-profit coach training schools (a small number of universities also offer coach training programs) and many of them offer their graduates a coaching certificate.

Some of those certificates take years to acquire. Others can be earned during a weekend workshop.

Due to the wide range of coaching programs, a few different governing bodies have sprung up to (try to) establish a standard of education, training, and ethics among coaches. In our experience, the three most commonly referenced governing bodies are:

Of the three governing bodies mentioned here, the ICF is by far the largest and most widely adopted credentialing service. They review and approve both coach training schools and individual coaches.

When you hire a coach, you can be most assured of their training if they have one of the following ICF credentials:

  • Associate Certified Coach (ACC), 60+ training hours, 100+ coaching hours
  • Professional Certified Coach (PCC), 125+ training hours, 500+ coaching hours
  • Master Certified Coach (MCC), 200+ training hours, 2500+ coaching hours

Sure, there are plenty of coaches who could get an ICF credential if they simply applied but they have no legal obligation to do so.  Maybe one day that will change. 


 What Coaching Credentials and Training Does Shannon Have?

  • ACC (Associate Certified Coach) credential from Internation Coach Federation (ICF).
  • CPC (Certified Professional Coach) - 146 training hours with Academy of Coaching Cognition (Training Program Accredited by ICF).
  • CWHC (Certified Wellness & Health Coach) - 32 training hours with Real Balance Global Wellness Services (Training Program Accredited by ICF and ICHWC-International Consortium for Health & Wellness Coaching)
  • Professional Development credits - minimum 40 hours training plus 10 hours of mentor coaching every 3 years, as required to maintain ICF credential.
  • Hundreds of hours of coaching practice. Working towards the PCC credential with ICF.  Member in good standing with ICF.
